I’m Melissa Davidson, with the Charles Hankey Marks & Criders. I wanted to talk with you today about traumatic brain injuries or TBIs, as their known in the medical community. This type of injury can be mild, moderate, severe and have a big range of impact on the person and their families. Traumatic brain injuries often happen due to impact, can be from a car accident, slip and fall, all types of injuries can lead to a knock in the head and a brain injury. But the symptoms that we commonly see that interfere with work are things like memory issues, or an inability to concentrate. Someone who may have depression or anxiety, it can cause mood fluctuations. The person may suffer from fatigue because of the injury. All of these conditions are something that could interfere with work so drastically that the person may qualify for social security disability.

The other thing is that our office also helps with personal injuries and so were able to not only help people apply for the social security disability but also make any kinds of claim for damages that may be the result of the accident that led to the brain injury.

So, if you or your loved one has suffered a traumatic brain injury, please call our office. We have seen these cases time and again over the years and have a lot of experience and can help you with that. I’m Melissa Davidson with that Charles Hankey Marks & Crider.
