An 81 year-old Connecticut woman has filed a lawsuit against Yale-New Haven Hospital after she sustained serious injuries when she fell off of an operating table following a pacemaker implant surgery, according to the Huffington Post.

The elderly woman suffered a broken collarbone and hip, a head injury that lead to bleeding under her skull, and other injuries. Since her fall, the woman says she can no longer drive, has trouble climbing stairs, and had to relearn how to walk.

The former patient is suing the hospital for not implementing policies to prevent her fall, leaving her unattended following surgery, and failing to realize she was still recovering from medication from the operation.
