DoL report says truckers make up 16% of work-related deaths

Statistics from the Department of Labor show that the incidence of work-related deaths for truckers is surprisingly high. The victims in as many as one in six of these deaths are truck drivers. Truck drivers are also among the most frequently injured workers who have to miss work as a result of their injuries. Because the injuries were sustained on the job, these workers are eligible for workers’ comp.
